LF-033 — Traditional Lanterns

Hexagonal Pavilion Lantern

◆ IP65 Waterproof ◆ 50,000h LED ◆ Custom Sizes ◆ MOQ 1 Set

The Hexagonal Pavilion Lantern borrows the silhouette of the classic Chinese garden pavilion — a hexagonal body, tiered upswept eaves and a gilded ridge ornament — and rebuilds it as a walkable-scale lantern sculpture. Six translucent silk walls glow with warm light, revealing painted scenes of landscapes and auspicious motifs, while the eave tiers are outlined with LED strips that trace the architecture's graceful curves. The piece stands on a carved base that can be bolted to a plaza, placed beside a pond, or set within a garden as a destination pavilion where visitors pause and photograph. Because it references real architecture rather than abstract decoration, it reads convincingly both by day — as an elegant structure — and by night, when it becomes a glowing focal lantern sculpture. The pavilion lantern's eave structure is engineered to shed rain and snow just like a real roof, protecting the silk walls beneath, while the walk-in version turns the sculpture into a sheltered gathering space that functions even in light weather.

Customization Options

The pavilion can be scaled from a 3 m garden model to an 8 m landmark, with optional walk-in interiors where the floor is opened and the structure becomes a sheltered viewing point. Wall panels can be ordered in painted silk, stained glass-effect acrylic, or open latticework with internal uplighting. Eave colors range from imperial gold to deep red with green-glazed accents, and the ridge ornament can be replaced with a phoenix, dragon or your crest. Lighting programs include steady interior glow, colored eave tracing, and a 'ceremony' mode with gradually brightening tiers. For waterfront placement, a floating pontoon base is available, letting the pavilion lantern preside over a lake as a traditional centerpiece.

Application Scenarios

Gardens and heritage parks use pavilion lanterns as night-time landmarks, often the visual anchor of a traditional lantern display along a lake promenade. Resorts place them at arrival courts and garden centers to suggest classical elegance, while cultural villages and folk-tourism destinations use them as photo stops and storytelling points. Museums commission scale versions for exhibitions on Chinese architecture, and city festivals install walk-in pavilions at fairgrounds to host tea ceremonies, calligraphy demonstrations and craft workshops. Wedding venues favor them for garden ceremonies, where the glowing structure frames the vows.

Application Guide

Given its size and weight, the pavilion lantern ships in three major assemblies: base plinth, body frame with wall panels, and roof tiers. Prepare a level concrete pad with the anchor template supplied; for walk-in versions, integrate the internal floor during base installation. Erect the body with a crane using the four lifting points, bolt to the plinth, then lower the roof assembly onto the locating dowels and secure the eave brackets. Electrical connections join inside the base chamber, with separate circuits for walls and eaves so either can be serviced independently. After assembly, check that all silk panels are tensioned and that the eave LED strips follow the curves without buckling. Monthly care: clean panels, check roof seals, and re-tension fabric before major weather events. In snowy regions, specify the heated eave option to prevent ice buildup on the upper tiers. The pavilion's three-assembly design requires a medium crane and a five-person crew for roughly two days; we supply a detailed erection sequence, foundation drawing and a pre-delivery video walkthrough that local contractors can follow with confidence. Electrical commissioning is simplified by separate wall and eave circuits with independent disconnects, and the controller's weatherproof cabinet is pre-wired at the factory. Our delivery includes touch-up lacquer, spare LED strips and a five-year parts commitment, and for waterfront placements we provide the pontoon engineering and anchoring calculations required by most park authorities.

Educational & Commercial Value

The pavilion lantern is a one-piece architecture lesson: it demonstrates traditional timber construction principles, the aesthetics of proportion and the role of garden buildings in Chinese landscape design, making it ideal for cultural education programs. Commercially, its scale and beauty command attention and premium photo opportunities, supporting ticket add-ons and evening event rentals. As a permanent garden asset, it appreciates in utility — hosting ceremonies, concerts and product launches — which gives venues a versatile centerpiece rather than a single-use decoration. The pavilion functions as architecture as much as sculpture, giving venues a genuine multi-use asset that hosts ceremonies, performances and craft demonstrations in addition to lighting the night. Educationally, it teaches traditional timber construction principles, proportional design and the philosophy of the Chinese garden, making it a favorite stop on school and heritage tours. Commercially, its size and beauty justify premium ticket add-ons and private event rentals, and its permanent construction delivers decades of service with modest maintenance.
