Fairy Goddess Lantern — Flying Apsara Light Figure with Flowing Ribbons

★ IP65 Waterproof ★ 50,000h LED ★ Custom Size & Colour ★ MOQ 1 Set

The LF-084 Fairy Goddess Lantern captures the airborne grace of a celestial maiden — the apsara of classical Chinese art — in a sculpture that seems to float above the garden. The goddess is posed in a flying attitude with one arm raised, her body wrapped in flowing ribbons and layered robes that trail behind her as if caught in mid-flight. Each ribbon is an independent steel-and-fabric element, internally lit so the folds glow in soft pink, lavender and white, creating a genuinely weightless appearance against the night sky. Her headdress, jewellery and the delicate hem of her dress are hand-detailed by the same artisans who craft Zigong's finest festival lanterns. The figure is mounted on a slender, almost invisible support column so visitors see the goddess hovering over a flower bed or water feature. Weatherproof to IP65 with a 50,000-hour LED rating, this illuminated figures centrepiece brings an unmistakably romantic, dreamlike mood to any light display and is a magnet for photography.

The goddess can be produced from 3 to 9 metres in total height, and the pose can be a gentle flying attitude, a lotus-seated meditation pose, or a dancing posture with both ribbons and sleeves in motion. The colour palette is fully customisable — the standard pink-and-lavender scheme can be shifted to cool blues for a winter theme, warm golds for a harvest theme, or white for a bridal-style display. Ribbon count and length can be increased for larger venues, and the support can be replaced by a transparent acrylic column or a hidden cantilever where the structure allows. Optional features include a mist base, gentle harp or guqin music, slow colour-breathing effects, and a flower-petal light scatter on the ground around the figure. The sculpture ships in head, body, ribbon and base modules, with each ribbon packed in its own cradle.

Application Scenarios

This goddess lantern is made for romantic garden zones, resort landscapes, wedding venues, botanical garden light trails, cultural heritage displays and the fairy-tale areas of family theme parks. It works beautifully beside ponds and fountains, where the figure appears to hover over water, and it is a popular feature in spring lantern festival gardens and ladies'-night events. Hotels and shopping malls also use it as an elegant atrium centrepiece during festive seasons.

Our team ships and installs this piece worldwide, and every order includes engineering drawings, a certified installation plan and on-site technical supervision. As a custom lanterns specialist from Zigong — the home of Chinese lantern art — we have supplied giant lanterns for sale to theme parks, zoos, shopping malls, city squares and cultural festivals across more than 40 countries since 2002.

Application Guide

The slender support column concentrates the load, so a foundation of about 1.8 m × 1.8 m with a buried anchor plate is recommended; on paved areas a weighted steel base plate can be used instead, subject to wind assessment. Assembly takes one to two days with a light crane or lift: the support column is set and plumbed first, then the body, arms and head are fitted, and finally the ribbons are attached in sequence from the back forward so they do not tangle. The fabric ribbons are pre-tensioned at the factory and simply hooked onto the frame's attachment points. Electrical connection is a single IP65 feed routed through the support column to the internal LED modules; each ribbon has its own low-voltage loop for independent colour control. A dusk sensor and timer provide automatic operation. Weekly checks cover the ribbon fixings, the support column bolts and the integrity of the base plate; ribbons are cleaned with a soft brush. The ribbons are the most exposed elements, so we supply a spare ribbon kit and simple instructions for replacing a panel within an hour. At season's end the ribbons are removed first and stored flat, and the body modules are crated for reuse.

Educational & Commercial Value

The Fairy Goddess Lantern adds an emotional, romantic layer to a light display that other sculptures cannot match, and it consistently ranks among the most-photographed pieces in garden festivals, which translates directly into social media reach. Its flexible colour palette lets one sculpture serve spring, winter or bridal themes across different seasons, maximising return on investment. For venues, it strengthens the aesthetic quality of premium zones, supporting higher-priced ticketed areas and wedding or photoshoot rental revenue. Educationally, it introduces the apsara and the flying-goddess motif of Chinese Buddhist and folk art, giving cultural programmes a graceful, accessible entry point for discussions of dance, costume and mythology.
